Inflorescence

I am so blessed by everyone who came to support me tonight at the Women's Jewelry Association, "She Inspired Me" event. The point of the contest is to raise scholarship/grant money for women in the jewelry industry. My piece was inspired by my beautiful Mother, Patti. My Mother is beautiful, and very strong. I created this as a tribute to her, because words alone can't describe her. And, she loves gardening, so I tried to make the piece organic and vine-like.

(I was also honored by having my piece sold for the most in the silent auction!)

So, the contest began by each "Maker" creating a charm or trinket, and then we traded them with other "Makers". With the piece we received, we were to create something amazing out of it. My piece was given to me by the incredibly talented Tara Magboo!

I hand fabricated my piece from Sterling Silver, 14K Rose Gold, and Amethysts. I titled it "Inflorescence".
